Rusororo: The Brahmakumaris family and students have joined forces to plant 1000 trees

The Brahmakumaris community that strives for charity and love, now on November 23, 2024 joined forces with the students of Bisenga Primary School, planting 1000 trees in Bisenga Cell, Rusororo Sector, Gasabo District.

The event was attended by Ambassador Mridu Pawan Das, the representative of India in Rwanda, where 1000 saplings were planted, which is the intention of the Rwandan government to make the city of Kigali green.

Trees have been planted on the outskirts of the campus and inside the campus, so that in a short time, it will be characterized by vagrants.Brahmakumaris, Pudaruth Chandrawtee, in his speech representing the community, said that he loves the environment by nature, and said, “Today is the day to plant a tree, it is an act of pride. The environment is what sustains us.”

He continued saying, “I thank God that he loves us, and has encouraged us to do this work.”He said “We are all people, whether you are big or small, we are all children of God, as young people, think clearly, and aim for the good”. Pudaruth said that the family he leads is one of love, and that it has no boundaries around the world.

Ambassador Mridu Pawan Das, the representative of India in Rwanda, who was the chief guest, in his speech told the students, “Children are the future, learning is the first thing you should do, use your time well, don’t miss school, respect your teachers, you are in primary school now, but one is always learning”.

He went on to say that they should have values ​​and work together in everything, because if they want to have a good life, to achieve their dreams, they will be educated.

Madame Uwangabe Grace, the Head of Bisenga Cell said that this activity of planting trees in the Cell she leads has been well received, because it started with the youth, adding that the District has a comprehensive plan to plant trees in as many places as possible.

Uwangabe said “here we live on a steep hill”.Ndarubumbye Marcel, Principal of Bisenga Primary School, said, “I am very happy that this center has become “Green” and has a new life, because trees are life, among the trees planted are those that bear edible fruit, so because the center feeds the children, it will help them get full meal”.

He said, “We also promise to preserve these trees.”

Bisenga Primary School located in Bisenga Cell, Rusororo Sector, Gasabo District, Kigali City, is a public institution that started in 2020, now has 1500 students (700 girls and 800 boys), teaches from year to in the sixth year of primary school.
